Come See The Northern Lights: Easier Than Ever!

Come See The Northern Lights: Easier Than Ever!

Can you think of anything as breathtaking and delightfully shocking as looking up at the night sky and see an explosion of brilliant colours as the northern lights stretch above.

One of the biggest things that hold people back from seeing the aurora borealis is how difficult it can be to see them. But how quickly would rush to see them if it were simple and comfortable?

Arctic Kingdom strives to demonstrate the endless beauty of the Arctic with wildlife trips but also offering northern lights opportunities.

If you have dreamed of seeing the northern lights, then come find out how accessible we’ve made it to see the ‘greatest light show on Earth.’

The Greatest Light Show on Earth

What makes the northern lights so impressive? They start at the Sun!

Every once in a while, a burst of energy escapes the Sun and travels through space like a wave that washes against Earth’s atmosphere. When this wave of energy collides with the particles that creates our atmospheric shield, this chemical reaction is what creates the light show we see.

What does this mean? You’re watching something galactic and the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world.

This might be why seeing the northern lights in person is so high on people’s bucket lists.

We’ve Made It Easy To See Them

We believe that the Arctic is one of the most fascinating and beautiful places and that is why we create trips that highlight the diversity of wonders in the north. This is why we’ve made it so accessible for people who want to experience the wildlife, the people, and the natural splendour.

Most of our Arctic Safaris take you to ideal locations for seeing wildlife and the northern lights. Spend your days photographing rarely seen wildlife and then the chance to see the aurora dance above you at night.

Only a 3-hour direct flight from Ottawa’s international airport, Iqaluit is the home of our Northern Lights Getaway.

Here, you can explore the cultural and historic parts of Nunavut’s capital city and at night you will be transported to our secluded northern lights location where trained staff will provide a photography workshop to ensure you capture legendary photos of the northern lights.

Learn more about our Northern Lights Getaway here.

Our summer Getaway is a great way to visit Iqaluit at the height of summer with the chance of seeing the northern lights too.
